Will Microsoft change the name of Windows 7, is it a code name or will it be a standard name?

According to the Microsoft Blog Windows 7 will be the standard name and will not be changed. They want to keep up with their tradition of Windows 3.1, Windows 98 etc as this is the seventh major release of Windows and hence will have its name as Windows 7.

    Discover Windows 7

Windows 7 or Windows Se7en is the next release of windows operating system. Microsoft claims that it will supersede Windows Vista in features and usability and is built on the foundation of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. Vista despite its rich features was not well received by many critics; but many geeks speculate that Windows7 would be a trendsetter in the Operating system industry and would carry Microsoft to the next generation of operating system products that will be heralded for Robustness and Stability unlike its predecessor Vista. Windows 7 is engineered on user feedbacks and as such there is expectation that much of disappointments with user friendliness felt with earlier versions would be addresses in through Windows 7.
